Permanent residence pathways for Hong Kong residents
Since 8 February 2021, the Canadian government has loosened its policy on immigration for Hong Kong residents. On 8 June, it further introduced new permanent residence pathways:
Stream A – In-Canada graduates: studying an eligible program in Canada after upon fulfilment of basic requirements
The applicant has to study a program of at least 2 years. Upon graduation, the applicant is eligible for applying for permanent residency.

01 Stream A
Program:
- English course (4 months) + QuickStart Skills Development Diploma: Hospitality and Tourism fundamentals (with co-op) (2 years)
- The package aims to provide students who are interested in the development of the hotel and tourism industry with operational and management concepts in the industry, and enhance their understanding of the industry.
Achievable minimum entry requirements:
- Aged 19 or above
- Completion of form 3 or above
- Completion of ESL course with a pass (no need for IELTS)
Canadian educational institutes collaborating with us:
Universal Learning Institute
(offering program on hospitality and tourism training which includes paid internship)

02 Stream B
Program:
